- Food & Walking Tour
Day 1 - Lysebotn up
Pick up in Stavanger or Sandnes and transport to Byrkjedalstunet Hotel which will be our base these days. After check-in of luggage and a quick change there will be distribution and adjustment of bicycles and equipment, before transport to Lysebotn. Here you just have to get ready for today's test which is Lysebotn up. After a small pit stop on Øygardstølen, one is ready to climb the last few kilometers before one can embark on the winding but reasonably flat road to Kvæven in Sirdal. Here it is good to get off the bikes and look forward to a wonderful lunch. After a well-deserved meal and rest, one is driven back to Byrkjedalstunet.
After a day of many impressions, it is being prepared for a traditional dinner a little out of the ordinary in the atmospheric Ysteriet. Tonight, Smalahove is on the menu, and the chef will have a thorough historical review of this traditional dish. Good drinks will also be served from one of our local producers.

Day 2 - Hegrefoss
After a good night's sleep in one of the unique atmospheric rooms, it's ready for a hearty breakfast before you're ready for the bike again. Today we drive to Haugen in Sirdal where we get ready for today's bike ride. The tour starts with a reasonably steep climb up Hønedalen, but after approx. two kilometers the road flattens out. Furthermore, the ride goes along lively waterways and several idyllic small lakes and eventually passes Instestøl nature reserve. A couple of houses can be seen, otherwise there is almost untouched nature on all sides. After about 12 kilometers of cycling in the beautiful countryside we come to Hegrefoss where there is time for some rest. After half an hour we are ready for the bike seat again and start the journey back. We take the same road down to Haugen and continue down the valley until we arrive at Sirdal Huskyfarm. Here the hosts are ready with a tasty lunch that is prepared over the fire, and moose, deer or reindeer can be on the menu depending on the season and catch.
After lunch it is time to try one of the listed activities for the individual, before we start our return to Byrkjedalstunet, by minibus.
After a day of many impressions, make yourself ready for dinner in the cozy Randastølen. Here, the food is prepared on the wood-burning stove, while one enjoys the atmosphere and something good to drink from a local manufacturer.
