(ODT02) ONE-DAY EL VALLE HIGHLANDS
El Valle is about 70 miles from Panama City and sits in the crater of one of the world's largest extinct volcanoes.
This picturesque town is well known for its weekend market where the local Indigenous people sell their handcrafts, flowers and vegetables. Beautiful scenery and walking trails abound in town and throughout the valley.
We will also visit a papaya farm, as well as the homes of local craftsmen, where you can see them working in preparation for the weekend market. You will also be able to purchase their work. The local people are friendly, plus a smile eases any language barrier.
El Valle also has a small zoo, as well as a renowned thermal bath for those who want a skin treatment. It also boasts a canopy adventure which allows you to view the rainforest while descending from one tree to another.
