(SNF01) WHALE WATCHING

Panama is one of the very few places in the world where Humpback whales from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres come to breed and give birth.  Between July and October, you can see hundreds of whales arriving in Panama waters from the Southern hemisphere, and between December to March, from the Northern hemisphere. That is why there is a very high percentage-chance you will see them.

Whale watching is virtually a new tourist activity in Panama and for that reason, you normally don’t have to jostle with a large numbers of tourist for whale watching. As a tropical country, you can enjoy your whale watching along with sunbathing which makes it very different compared with doing the same activity in a cold weather country.
