3 day group Murchison Falls Safari

This safari takes you 5 hours North of the city of Kampala to the popular Murchison falls National Park the largest park in Uganda. This park is named after the powerful Murchison falls formed by the force of the mighty Nile river that powers through a 10m wide narrow cleft and drops 40m onto a wide open flat stretch of water known as the Victoria Nile. Here you find the open savannah that is home to the wildlife that Africa is famous for.

You will spend two nights in this beautiful wilderness, and indulge in all it has to offer.

A KampalaB ParaaC Game Drive

You will be picked up at 7am from your accommodation. After which you shall depart for Murchison Falls National Park. This is a 6 hour drive. During the drive, you will make a couple of stops to stretch your legs, have lunch or in case you need to use a bathroom. You will then arrive at the park in time for your first game drive. This is a 3-hour game viewing expedition. With the assistance of a game ranger, expect to find wide range of African wildlife, crater lakes and spectacular scenery.

We provide a second opportunity for game viewing so that you may have the chance of finding the animals that you may have not seen the previous day. Unlike, the first game drive, this one starts very early in the morning so that you may have the chance of seeing animals that otherwise stay out of the scorching sun during the day.

Boat Launch & Hike to the top of the Falls:

This is another game viewing expedition, but instead of a drive you do it in a boat. This is done in the afternoon between 2 and 5pm on the Nile River. The boat will head upstream towards the base of the Murchison Falls, where you will get off and hike to the top of the falls. On your way there you will enjoy a wildlife showing of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and various species of birds.

You will set off from the lodge at 7am for a seven-hour drive back to your accommodation in Kampala. On your way, you will pass by the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a Rhino tracking excursion. In this gazetted sanctuary are Rhinos that are being protected from many years of poaching that has led them to near extinction. With the help of a ranger, you will have the opportunity to walk through this wild bush that is home to these beasts on your search for them. This day also marks the end of this trip. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did having to share these experiences with you.
