Day 1.- You will start your journey by being picked up from the lobby of your hotel and driven to the train station in Poroy or Ollantaytambo (depending on train tickets availability) from where you will board your chosen train (Expedition, Vistadome, Executive or First Class). In front of your eyes, an amazing panorama with Andean villages and gorgeous landscapes in a 3 hours and 40 minutes or 1 hour and 40 minutes (depending on the train station you have left Cusco) up to Aguas Calientes. From here we will take the bus to Machu Picchu Inca citadel on a 25 more minutes of a zigzagging route trip. Once reached the top you will start an amazing trip back in time along our 2 hours guided tour.

Machu Picchu, also known as “The Lost City of the Incas” boasts innumerable interesting precincts, being among others the temples of the Sun and the Condor, the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of Three Windows and various cemeteries around. You will also see aqueducts and houses, while learning some interesting facts about the Sacred Incan Terraces.

Lunch will be offered at a restaurant located at the entrance gate of Machu Picchu so a returning to this place will be possible in the afternoon.

Taking the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes will be the next step, where you will have a well-deserved rest.

Day 2.- We highly suggest you to start the day at dawn and take the first available bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Your guide will head you to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and will have the chance to appreciate the spectacular sunrise and then you will have the rest of the day to walk around and explore this amazing site. Among other walks, you can climb the Huayna Picchu Mountain (extra cost – must be booked in advance) on your own without guide. It will take about 2 and 30 hours round trip, then return to Machu Picchu where you will have free time to relax, take pictures and enjoy the last views. After that you will take the bus to go down to Aguas Calientes for Lunch and take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, where we will be waiting for you, and take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

IMPORTANT: All your passport information will be needed for booking this tour (full names, passport numbers, and date of birth). Original passport will be required for both the entrance to Machu Picchu and your hotel.
