The Colorado River begins in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

After meandering its way across the state of Colorado, the river crosses the Utah border and enters Westwater Canyon and then through spectacular Castle Valley. Down river from Moab, the Colorado River enters Cataract Canyon which feeds into lake Powell.

Below Lake Powell, the Colorado River makes its way through Grand Canyon and then into Lake Mead in Nevada.

Just outside of Moab, Utah, the river flows perhaps one of the most diverse and beautiful on the Colorado.
