This 14 Day Vietnam Heritage Tour will take you to a number of impressive and well-known attractions in Vietnam including the three world heritage listed sites (the magnificent Halong Bay, the Old Citadel of Hue, and the charming Hoi An ancient town). You will also experience the hustle & bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, the waterways of the Mekong Delta and the legendary Cu Chi Tunnel.

DAY 1:  Ho Chi Minh City Arrival

On arrival in Hanoi our local driver and tour guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Overnight at Grand Silverland Hotel & Spa

DAY 2:  Ho Chi Minh City and Cu Chi Tunnel Tour (B/L)

Our driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8am and travel to Cu Chi Tunnel.

The Cu Chi tunnels are known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed.  After that our tour guide will take you to explore the maze of tunnels.

After that we will stop for lunch on the way back to Ho Chi Minh city for the city tour.

Ho Chi Minh city, formerly named Saigon is a largest city of Vietnam. In this tour you will learn about Vietnamese history in the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace, admire French-colonial architecture at the General Post Office, Opera House and Notre Dame Cathedral. Our driver will transfer you back to your hotel around 5.30pm.

DAY 3:  Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B/L/D)

Our driver and tour guide will pick up from your hotel at around 7.30 AM and we will drive to Cai Be in the Mekong Delta. On arrival, we will have a quick visit at Cao Dai Temple Cai Be which symbolizes for the local unique    religion and then Cai Be Cathedral. We then embark on a boat to visit an inland market and a floating market to observe the daily life of the local people and buy some ingredients for our dinner.

We then continue boating to the Mekong Eco-Lodge in Tan Phong Island, where we will check in our room and take a short relax before having lunch in an open-air restaurant. After lunch, we will take part in some local activities such as ditch fishing hook and fruit picking or gardening and visit some local farming families to interact with the local people.

Around 3pm we will take part in some local activities such as ditch hook fishing and fruit picking or gardening, then get some hands on culinary experience by joining a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. In the evening try night-frog catching (weather permits) or you might like the option to teach English to the local children.

Overnight at Mekong Eco-Lodge.

DAY 4: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City - Danang (B)

After breakfast, we will check out of the Mekong Eco lodge around 10am. We then transfer back to Cai Be by boat before our driver transfers you to Ho Chi Minh airport for a short domestic flight to Danang.  On arrival in Danang our local driver and tour guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your Hoi An Hotel for your evening at leisure.

DAY 5: Hoi An – My Son Holy Land (B)

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8am and then we will depart for the ancient Cham ruins of My Son. On arrival we will visit the Tra Kieu capital and explore the majestic ancient ruins at My Son.

My Son, located 69 km southwest of Danang and 75kms from Hoi An, was an imperial city during the Cham dynasty. My Son is the former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled Central Vietnam from the second to the thirteenth century and is considered to be one of the best-preserved Cham structures in Vietnam.

Our driver will drop you back at your hotel.

DAY 6: Hoi An Country-side and Cooking Tour (B/L)

After breakfast our local tour guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to visit the local markets to buy some ingredients for your cooking lesson and learn about the local produce. After the markets we make our way to the restaurant for your cooking class with the expert Chef. After your class you can enjoy the food you have prepared before returning to your hotel for your afternoon at leisure.

Today you will discover Hoi An countryside by bike with our tour guide. You will ride through the verdant beauty of the countryside. Admire luscious landscapes thronged with paddies and winding waterways and stop at several quaint towns to gain insight into indigenous cultural traditions.

DAY 7:  Hoi An – Hue – Hanoi (B/L)

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby around 8am before boarding the Dragon boat to cruise the Perfume River. Our first stop is the charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda), before continuing on to visit King Khai Dinh’s Tomb and King Tu Duc’s Tomb.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit Hue Imperial City, the home of Vietnam’s last royal Dynasty, then travel on to Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people.

Hue, Vietnam’s former Royal Capital, is a city that represents the outstanding demonstration of the power of the vanished Vietnamese feudal empire, including a complex of monuments, tombs and pagodas that attract tourists coming from all over the world.

Our driver will then transfer you to the airport for your short domestic flight to Hanoi. On arrival in Hanoi our local driver and tour guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.

DAY 8: Hanoi City Tour (B/L)

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8am and then we will visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh museum, One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and the Museum of Ethnology.

The colonial capital city Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental pagodas and temples dating back a thousand years.

After lunch we will take a cyclo tour in Hanoi’s old quarter and experience traditional street life before watching Water Puppet show.

In the afternoon you have the option to visit museums such as the Hanoi Hilton or Hoa Lo Prison, the National Museum of Vietnamese History, the Vietnam Military History museum, and the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts.  Our driver will drop you off at your Hanoi Hotel around 5pm.

DAY 9: Hanoi – Sapa by Train (B)

You have today free at your leisure.

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8.30pm and transfer you to Hanoi Railway station. The train will depart Hanoi at 9.30pm.

Day 10: Sapa (B/L)

Arrive at Lao Cai station at 6am where you will be met by your tour guide and driver before transferring to Sapa.  After breakfast we will Climb up Ham Rong mountain to enjoy the fresh air and get panorama the "Cloud City".

In the afternoon we will trek to Cat Cat village, home of Black H'mong ethnic minority. Later that afternoon we return to Sapa and take a walk around this beautiful town.

Day 11:  Sapa – Hanoi by Express Bus (B)

After breakfast our local driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit the local Sapa markets.

In the afternoon our driver will transfer you to the bus station around 2pm and you will travel back to Hanoi via Express Bus. On arrival to Hanoi bus station our private car will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 12: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Our cruise bus will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi at 8am and transfer you to Holong Bay. Enjoy a complimentary drink in the Oasis private lounge before boarding the Cruise and checking into our cabins.

A special lunch will be served on board while cruising passing by Dog islet, Fighting Cock islet (symbol of Halong Bay), Hoa Cuong fishing village, Swan islet.

After lunch the Oasis Bay will continue exploring the wonders of Halong Bay, passing by countless islands including Soi Sim Beach, Coconut Tree Island.

We anchor the vessel at the Frog Pond area. We explore this beautiful area by kayaking through the majestic scenery and swimming in the emerald coloured water.

In the afternoon relax on the sundeck with a few cocktails complimented by a variety of tropical fruits and the best local wines. Next we will attend a cooking demonstration with our Chef to learn one of Vietnam’s most popular cuisines (spring rolls) or refresh yourself in our big hot Jacuzzi.

Enjoy a specially prepared 11-course gourmet dinner.

Overnight on board Oasis Bay Cruise

Day 13: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L)

Before breakfast enjoy a Tai Chi class on the Sundeck or watch the sun-rise.

After breakfast you can either relax on board or Visit Sung Sot Cave, hiking up and down 600 steps to the magnificent limestone formations of the most beautiful and biggest cave in Halong bay.

Next we will re-board our cruise and check out of our cabin. We then have some time to relax before Lunch served on board the cruise.

After lunch the cruise bus will transfer you back to your hotel in Hanoi around 5pm.

Day 14:  Departure Home

Our local driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight home.
