DAY 1: DEPATURE TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
A representative/driver of Redroad tours will pick you up at 6am from your accommodation. After which you shall depart for Bwindi National Park. This is the home of Nkuringo Gorilla Camp where you will be spending the next 2 days. This is a 8-9 hours drive. During the drive, you will make a couple of stops to stretch your legs, have lunch or stop in case you need to use a bathroom.
DAY 2: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Set off from the lodge at 7:30am and head to the Park head quarters for a briefing at 8am right before you head out on the Gorilla trekk.
This is a full day activity. The lodge will provide a packed lunch for you to take with you. When you finally encounter the Gorillas, you have a limited time of one hour of watching them before you prepare to head back to your starting point. This is done to minimize the possibility of transmitting a potentially fatal disease from humans to Gorillas and vice versa.
DAY 3: BWINDI - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Set off from the lodge at 8am and head to Queen Elizabeth national Park. It takes approximately 5 hours to get to your destination.
At 4pm, you will go for your evening game drive. This is a 3-hour game viewing expedition. With the assistance of a game ranger, expect to find wide range of African wildlife, crater lakes and spectacular scenery.
DAY 4: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
We provide a second opportunity for game viewing so that you may have the chance of finding the animals that you may have not seen the previous day. Unlike, the first game drive, this one starts in the morning just before dawn at 6am, so that you may have the chance of seeing animals that otherwise stay out of the scorching sun during the day.
The boat cruise is another game viewing expedition, but instead of a drive you do it in a boat. This is done in the afternoon between 2:00pm and 5:00pm on the Kazinga channel, which is a 32km long hippo and crocodile infested channel connecting two rift valley lakes - Lake George and Lake Edward.
DAY 5: BWINDI - KAMPALA
On this day, set off from the lodge at 9:00am for a 7-hour drive back to your accommodation in Kampala.
