This trip offers a two way big ape sighting. You get to see chimpanzees and mountian gorillas and also, go on a safari to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, giraffes, hippos, the list is endless. This is definately an excursion worth participating in!

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - KAMPALA
Tusanyuse okulaba! Translation: We are happy to see you. A Redroad Tours representative/driver will warmly receive you at the airport and after a brief orientation, drive you to your accommodation in Kampala.
DAY 2: KAMPALA CITY
Wake up to the hustle and bustle of the vibrant Kampala City. After your breakfast and orientation, go sight seeing on “boda bodas” a popular local means of motorcycle transportation. You get to see famous sights and landmarks, all while learning about Ugandan cultures and traditions.
DAY 3: KAMPALA CITY – KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Rise and shine! After breakfast, you will have orientation about your trip on the days to follow and then right after that, you will go on a 5 hour drive to your first adventure destination in Kibale Forest National Park.
You will arrive in time for lunch, which you will have after checking into your lodge. After your lunch, take an afternoon swamp walk and enjoy the beauty the swamp has to offer. Keep an eye out for variouns species of monkeys and birds.
DAY 4: CHIMP TRACKING
On this day, wake up to an early breakfast, and the head out on the day’s main activity – chimpanzee tracking. This is a 3 hour activity where you get to meet members of habituated chimpanzee families. Later this same day, in the afternoon, choose to either sit back and relax at your lodge, or participate in an optional activity like the crater lake hike.

DAY 5: KIBALE – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
On this morning, a drive southwards will lead you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This vast park is set against the backdrop of the jagged Rwenzori Mountains. Check into your lodge, settle in and relax and then take an evening game drive in the park. Back at the lodge, have dinner and spend the night.
DAY 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Indulge in a delicious breakfast, after which you’ll have the opportunity to go on a second game drive the same morning. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on the Kazinga channel, with it’s banks lined with hippos and crocodiles all while in full view of the park’s other residents who come for a drink on the channel like the elephants, buffaloes and birds.

DAY 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
This will be your last day in Queen Elizabeth National Park as you make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the morning on a 7 hour 30 minutes drive. On your way there, make a stop in the Isasha sector to see the famous tree climbing lions. Thereafter, check into your lodge.
DAY 8: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Early this morning, right after breakfast, you will embark on one of the most exciting activities of this entire trip – gorilla trekking! Get a feel of why this park is called “impenetrable” as you slash through thick vegetation on your way to meet the majestic mountain gorillas. You will spend not more than 1 hour with the gorillas for risk of spreading and catching diseases.
This will be your only activity of the day. Head back to your lodge for much needed rest and relaxation.
DAY 9: BWINDI – KAMPALA
Wake up early on this day and head back to Kampala on a 9 hours drive. Check into your accommodation and spend the night.
DAY 10: KAMPALA – ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Unfortunately, this will be the last day of your trip. On this day, you will be driven to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home. We hate to see you go, but we hope to see you back soon.
