We visit two prestigious temples – Wat Arun and Wat Pho, to see the very impressive giant, gold reclining Buddha statue. The rest of the day is free for exploring; you may want to try some of the famous shopping in Bangkok as its known for being notoriously cheap. Remember to always try and barter with the street vendors, you can sometimes get as much as 50% off the original price! Then in the evening we meet again for dinner, drinks and more group bonding.
DAY 3 – MIDNIGHT SPECIAL
Try a traditional Thai massage before we travel overnight on the train down south, and swap the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for the tranquil lakes of Khao Sok National Park – situated in the Surat Thani province of Thailand.
DAY 4 – KHAO SOK FLOATING BUNGLOWS
Head to our floating bungalows on a longtail boat whilst stopping along the way for a quick dip and dive. Try your hand at some kayaking or chill with a beer in a tube in front of the stunning backdrop of this limestone mountain range. We’ll be staying in floating bungalows on a fresh-water lake surrounded by rainforest that looks like something out of Jurassic Park!
DAY 5 – ARRIVE IN KOH PHANGAN, BOTTLE BEACH
Wake up early on the lake and enjoy a spot of breakfast before we head to Koh Phangan. When we arrive we go straight to a secluded paradise beach, Bottle Beach. Our favourite beach in the world. It is quiet, amazingly beautiful, only accessible by boat and to make it better, we pretty much get the whole place to ourselves and stay in beach huts overlooking the ocean. Relax here for the rest of the afternoon, enjoy a bit of volleyball, sunbathing or swimming. In the evening we can enjoy dinner and some cocktails on the beach next to a campfire with our own private fire show.
DAY 6 – MUAY THAI LESSON
A nice chilled wake up to the sound of waves rolling on the beach. You will have a free morning to make the most of your surroundings. You can go kayaking, play volleyball, top up the tan, go trekking to view points or catch up on some sleep. We are picked up early afternoon and taken to a local gym to try your hand at a bit of Muay Thai boxing, Thailand’s national sport. After we head to our awesome accommodation at Echo Beach backpackers where we will spend the final two nights. We will arrange a time to meet for dinner and jump in a taxi to Haad Rinn where you will discover more beach bars for those who fancy a few drinks.
DAY 7 – ISLAND BOAT TRIP
Today we embark on a voyage around Koh Phangan. We spend the day taking in the amazing tropical island scenery, stop for some snorkelling at the coolest hotspots and visit Than Sadet waterfall (seasonal). You might think it couldn’t get any better but it does, we have free drinks and food throughout the day with music. The last night we take you to the best restaurant in town for a slap up meal on us. Its here where we prepare to say our goodbyes to our newest friends as our adventure draws to a close so we hit the beach bars for one last boogie to cap a great week.
DAY 8 – CHECK INTO DORMS
We swap our twin rooms for dorms to get closer to the action as we gear up to the full moon party. You will have the day to make use of Echo Beach Backpacker’s facilities, play some volleyball, chill out on the day beds or go explore. You will have some free time to do as you please.
DAY 9 - CHALLENGE LAKE & SUNSET POOL PARTY

In the evening we will head up the hill to probably the best place you will ever watch the sunset from. It’s a very very cool bar with music, cocktails, beer, viewing deck with swimming pool which we will certainly make the most of as we watch the sun go down. Life doesn’t really get much better…
DAY 10 - SLIP N FLY
Get ready for an epic day party! Slip n Fly is one of the latest attractions of Phangan. Featuring one of the biggest and craziest waterslides in Southern Asia. with a mixture of adventure, games and artists to bring you the ultimate daytime tropical party. We spend the day here so you can choose to chillax on the day beds or attempt the slides.
DAY 11 - FULL MOON PARTY

We will take you to the best pre-drinking spots before hitting up the full moon party in TruTravels style! Those of you hard core enough to make it to sunrise (the best bit) may even get to join us at the after party which starts at 6am! No rest for the wicked.
DAY 12 - WOOSA CHILL DAY
Depending on what time you stumble in from the party you will probably need some of today to sleep and recover so the only planned activity today is a nice Thai massage and possibly a film at a local bar. Unless you are one of those crazy party animals that decided to join us at the after party!
DAY 13 - CHILLED CHECK OUT
Today you will have to check out by midday. If you have not booked any onward travel then we are on hand to help plan your next footsteps. We can help you stay longer in Phangan, transport back to Bangkok or almost anywhere else in Asia. The world is your oyster!
